In order to participate in the achievement of two of the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which are the fight against poverty, the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women, GIZ and Orange Cameroon have signed a partnership for the implementation of a project to support the "professionalisation of women micro-entrepreneurs and access to digital technology for the management of their commercial activity". This project aims at increasing the income of women active in small-scale trade such as the marketing of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) and agricultural products, while facilitating their access to digital technology for the management of their commercial activity.
