PPI particularly supports young people and women living in priority countries for Official Development Assistance (ODA). \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The international NGO mobilises experts to develop the economic autonomy of the most fragile populations, by acting through three components called &#8220;business lines&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education and financial inclusion\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nBy working on the emergence of financial services and distribution networks adapted to the needs of these populations and by developing financial education programmes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Entrepreneurship\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nBy supporting associations and cooperatives in the definition and implementation of services adapted to the needs of entrepreneurs, including the training required to create and develop sustainable income-generating activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inclusive value chains<\/strong><br \/>\nSupporting small-scale producers in accessing markets, in cooperation with the largest international buyers of agricultural products, to structure fair agricultural value chains and strengthen the quality of production.<\/p>\n<p>Activities are spread over <strong>15 countries<\/strong>, concentrated in priority regions: <strong>Sub-Saharan Africa<\/strong> (46%), <strong>Indian Ocean<\/strong> (13%) and <strong>Middle East and North Africa<\/strong> (15%). The initial mandate of the organisation was to enable populations excluded from financial services to borrow, save or insure themselves through the development of microfinance.<\/p>\n<h3>2015 : Positive Planet International<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"d-block mb-1 mt-3 alignnone wp-image-4413 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ppi-groupesos.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Logo-PPI-Blanc-1.svg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><br \/>\nIn 2015, PlaNet Finance became Positive Planet, then Positive Planet International (PPI) in 2017. The entity keeps its three international business lines.<\/p>\n<p><span>Groupe SOS is <\/span><b><span>a non-profit group of social purpose organizations<\/span><\/b><span>. Born in 1984 in France, to achieve the SDGs, Groupe SOS gathers 650 facilities, associations and social businesses.\u00a0<\/span><b><span>Europe\u2019s leader in social and solidarity economy<\/span><\/b><span>, the Group brings local expertise to co-build projects and institutional reforms with public and private partners. Groupe SOS fights, engages and innovates t<\/span><span>o <\/span><b><span>drive systemic change for the most vulnerable people, future generations and fragile territories<\/span><\/b><span>, and counts about 2 million direct beneficiaries in over 40 countries<\/span><\/p>\n<p>PPI is now taking part in Groupe SOS international action, actively participating in the Group&#8217;s development, alongside a dozen other entities in over 40 countries. Because of its technical expertise in economic development,<strong> PPI acts as a service provider and technical assistance provider<\/strong> to companies and donors, always for the benefit of the most excluded populations.<\/p>\n<p>As an example, in <strong>2020, PPI won 28 projects with a total budget of 4.3 million euros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n   <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n
