Context<\/h3><\/div>\n\t

In order to participate in the achievement of two of the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which are the fight against poverty, the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women, GIZ and Orange Cameroon have signed a partnership for the implementation of a project to support the “professionalisation of women micro-entrepreneurs and access to digital technology for the management of their commercial activity<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

This project aims at increasing the income of women active in small-scale trade such as the marketing of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) and agricultural products, while facilitating their access to digital technology for the management of their commercial activity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Goals<\/h3><\/div>\n\t
    \n
  • Accompany trainers during the first twenty training on management and development of a micro-enterprise, with the Farmer Business School approach<\/li>\n
  • Conduct the implementation of improved tontine systems within 3 organisations and\/or networks with a view to eventually enable approximately 100 women to obtain credits to finance their activities<\/li>\n
  • Facilitate the membership of organisations or micro-entrepreneurs in microfinance institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    • Trainers<\/strong> from the Digital Houses<\/strong>, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER) and the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife (MINFOF) of Cameroon.<\/li>\n
