Context<\/h3><\/div>\n\t

Faced with an unprecedented multidimensional crisis, aggravated by the explosion in the port of Beirut on August 4th, the Lebanese, particularly young people and women, find themselves in a situation of extreme poverty. Drawing on its experience in Lebanon since 1856, \u0152uvre d\u2019Orient intends to support the creation and sustainability of income-generating activities for the most vulnerable. Inspired by the success of the Syrian Hope Center, Oeuvre d\u2019Orient opens a Hope Center in Lebanon, dedicated to the financing, training and support of vulnerable entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Goals<\/h3><\/div>\n\t

The overall objective of the project is to fight extreme poverty in Lebanon by enabling vulnerable people, especially women and youth, to take control of their economic situation.<\/p>\n

In particular, PPI aims to:<\/p>\n

– Promote the creation or development of Income Generating Activities by strengthening the capacities of vulnerable entrepreneurs through mixed training and coaching solutions (face-to-face and distance learning).<\/p>\n

– Strengthen the financial capacity of vulnerable entrepreneurs through investment while avoiding the underlying risk of over-indebtedness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Beneficiaries<\/h3><\/div>\n\t
    \n
  • 500 beneficiaries start, restart or boost their Income Generating Activity and improve their management and\/or professional capacity as a result of the training.<\/li>\n
  • More than 2000 indirect beneficiaries benefit from local economic dynamics and community living together<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
