Civil society is an important and powerful contributor to a transparent and participatory governance and in supporting the sustainable development process underway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"row sectioncontent\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-8 mx-auto\"><h3>Goals<\/h3><\/div>\n\t<div class=\"col-12 col-md-8 mx-auto projectcontent Objectifs\"><p>This strategic partnership establishes a long-term cooperation between the European Commission and PPI with the aim to contribute to the objectives of the Union policy in the field of engagement with civil society in line with the 2012 Communication on the &#8220;Roots of Democracy and Sustainable Development: Europe&#8217;s engagement with Civil Society in External Relations\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Through this strategic partnership, PPI\u2019s objective is to foster the economic empowerment of women and men who work for sustainable and equitable economic development.
